This limited edition lipstick was created by 18-year-old Kiwi Rachael Cox who is just like most teenage girls her age, given that she’s incredibly fond of makeup. Rachael has Cystic Fibrosis and as part of the “Make a Wish” Foundation Karen Murrell helped her to create her own lipstick shade.

Rachael’s favourite colour is a combination of purple and pink and the resulting lipstick shade is nothing short of perfect! “I really like the light purple, it has quite a cool pink undertone which makes it unique and fun” says Rachael.

This limited-edition lipstick in partnership with Make a Wish will have all proceeds donated as a 50:50 split between the Make a Wish Foundation and Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand.

Karen Murrell was honoured to work with Make a Wish to make Rachael’s special dream a reality “I feel so grateful to be in a position to be able to work with charities to help make dreams like Rachael’s come true” says Karen Murrell.

Cystic Fibrosis Donations:
Any money raised for Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand goes towards improving the lives of children, adults and families living with Cystic Fibrosis. This includes personalised fieldworker support, the provision of essential medical equipment, grants to help with the costs associated with hospital stays, lung transplants, and keeping active, as well as funding important research and advocating for improved access to medication and care.

Make a Wish Donations:
Make a Wish raise funds to support the wishes of Kiwi kids in need. They rely on donations from individuals, community groups and organisations to deliver wishes to ensure that every eligible child can have their one true wish come true.

Active Ingredients

Candelilla (Euphorbia cerifera)

The candelilla plant grows in the semi-arid environment of northern Mexico. Plants growing in the hottest and driest areas produce a protective covering, which yields a hard vegetable wax of superior quality after processing. Candelilla wax is yellow, and is celebrated in lipstick production for its hard, brittle, glossy and slightly tacky properties.

Evening primrose oil (Oenothera biennis)

Rich in omega-6, soothing and very moisturising.

Castor oil (Ricinus communis)

Excellent emollient properties and a high-acting pigment dispersant. Due to its high viscosity, castor oil also helps to suspend pigment in the manufacturing process to avoid settling when hot. KM Lipstick pigments are milled into castor oil in a ball mill. The milling process reduces particle size and ensures even suspension and distribution.
